3:9

They display their sin like Sodom; they do not even hide it.

Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil on themselves.

 

3:11,12

Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon him, for what he deserves will be done to him.

O My people! Their oppressors are children, and women rule over them.

O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray

And confuse and destroy the direction of your paths.

 

5:18

Woe to those who drag iniquity with the cords of falsehood, and sin as if with cart ropes.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness.

Musing 3: I heard and my inward parts trembled, my lips quiver at the sound; rottenness enters into my bones; my legs tremble beneath me. Because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble/distress, for the people to arise who will attack/invade us/the nation – The Bible. Habakkuk 3:16.

1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God.

2 So the person who resists such authority, resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment, for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad.

3 Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation, for it is God’s servant for your good.

4 But if you do wrong, be in fear, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God’s servant to administer retribution on the wrongdoer.

5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath of authorities, but also because of your conscience.

6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants devoted to governing.

1 O God, why have You rejected us forever?

3 The enemy has damaged everything within the sanctuary.

4 Your adversaries roar in the midst of Your meeting place.

7 They have defiled the dwelling place of Your Name.

8 They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.

10 How long will the adversary mock You, O God? Will the foe blaspheme Your Name forever?

18 Remember this, O Lord, that the enemy has reproached, and a foolish people has despised Your Name.

22 Arise, O God, and plead Your own cause. Remember how the foolish man reproaches You all day long.

23 Do not ignore the voice of Your enemies, the uproar of those who rise against You which ascends continually.

The Pastors also transgressed against Me and did not know Me –Jeremiah 2:8.

For the Pastors have become stupid and have not sought the Lord. Therefore they shall not prosper and all their flocks shall be scattered –Jeremiah 10:21.

Many Pastors have ruined My vineyard –Jeremiah 12:10.

The wind will sweep away all your Pastors because of all your wickedness –Jeremiah 22:22.

Woe to the Pastors who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture: Pastors who have driven them away and not attended to them! I will pour out judgment on you for the evil you have done –Jeremiah 23:1,2.

He gave some as Pastors/Teachers –Ephesians 4:11.

Then I will give you Pastors according to My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding –Jeremiah 3:15.

7 Their worship of Me is a farce. Their teachings are but rules taught by men.

8 Having no regard for the commandment of God, you substitute the tradition of men.

9 You have a fine way of setting aside and making the commandment of God without a place in order to keep your tradition!

13 Thus depriving the Word of God of authority by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things like this.

42:1-3 All the people small and great approached Jeremiah. ‘Please pray for us to the Lord your God that the Lord your God would show us what to do.’

42:4 Jeremiah said, ‘I will tell you the whole Word that the Lord says.’

42:5,6 Then they said, ‘May the Lord your God be a faithful witness against us if we do not obey the whole Word which the Lord your God sends to us. Whether it is pleasing/good or displeasing/bad/evil, whether we like it or not, we will obey the Lord our God.’

42:20 You were hypocrites, deceived yourselves, were not honest, and made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the Lord your God.

43:1,2 When Jeremiah had finished giving to the people all the Words of the Lord their God, all the arrogant/proud men said, ‘You are lying! The Lord our God has not sent you to say [that]’!

44:15-17 Then all the women present and all the men who knew that their wives had made offerings to idols answered, ‘As for the Word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you! Rather, we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths; we will do whatever we want!’
